Sherwood Art Week 2014
We are one of the official sponsors of this years Sherwood Art week from Saturday 21st to Sunday 29th June.
If you live in our around Nottingham it’s really worth coming down to check it out.
Every year Sherwood dedicates a whole week to local arts and craft events. There’s always plenty going on all week long, it’s difficult not to get involved in some way.
One of the unique things that happens every year at the Sherwood Art week is the Art in the Shops, where local businesses show their support by showcasing some really talented work by local artists, local school groups, and members of the public. This is shown all week, so there’s always time to take a look.

On the first Saturday there will be the Secret Garden Craft Fair, which in addition to selling crafty pieces, will also be serving hot food, real ale, Strawberry Tea’s and will have music too. For a list of stalls that will be appearing this year click here.
Young Artists Competition
We will be sponsoring the prizes for the Young Artists Competition, and the winners will be announced on Saturday 21st at the Secret Garden Craft Fair.
There will be four age categories;
5-7 year old
8-11 year old
12-15 year old
16-18 year old
Each category will have 1 winner and 1 runner up – so that’s a total of 8 prizes!
All entries to this competition will be shown to the public in a special exhibition for the rest of the week.

There are also many varied workshops throughout the week, from cooking and sushi workshops to creative writing and chocolate sculpture, so it’s really worth taking a look below to find something you enjoy.
