Handcrafted Yew & Clear Green-Tint Resin River Coffee Table
Exhibited at Makers Central 2025 – NEC Birmingham

This one-of-a-kind coffee table is crafted from a single slab of beautifully grained Yew wood, split and reversed to showcase its natural live edges. A clear, bio-based resin with a subtle green tint forms the central “river,” enhancing the organic flow of the wood and giving a fresh, modern look.

Key Features:

• Approx. tabletop size: 920mm x 455mm x 32mm

• Height with legs: ~305mm (adjustable if needed)

• Resin: Pebeo Pro Bio Clear Resin, the colour is alcohol inks and was done due to hardener yellowing so should not alter much now.

• Finish: Sanded to 4000+ grit and polished to a smooth satin-gloss

• Legs: Matte black powder-coated steel for a clean, industrial finish

Please note, Yew is a softer hardwood and can pick up small marks and dents over time. Some minor imperfections are already present but do not detract from its beauty. It’s best suited as a coffee or display table rather than a high-use surface.

The table has been oiled and finished with wax to protect and highlight the grain, offering a soft, natural sheen.

This table has received some of the best feedback in my shop – it’s truly a standout piece.
