Epoxy Resin Coaster or Serving Board Workshop in Nottingham Adults 18+
Join our beginner-friendly Epoxy Resin Workshop in Nottingham and create your own unique resin art piece in a relaxed, hands-on studio environment.
In this workshop, each student can choose to make either:
A set of 4 epoxy resin on wooden coasters
or
1 wooden serving board finished with epoxy resin.
If possible please let me know before the class which option you want to do.
You will be guided step-by-step through the full resin process, including how to safely measure, mix, colour and pour epoxy resin. You’ll explore colour blending, marbling, metallic effects, abstract designs, ocean-inspired pours and other creative resin techniques.
No previous experience is needed. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and is designed for adults aged 18+. All materials and PPE are provided, and guidance will be given throughout the session.
Your finished item will need time to fully cure and will usually be ready to collect from our Nottingham store approximately one week after the workshop. Postage can be arranged if required.
This creative resin art experience is perfect for a solo creative session, a date night, a birthday treat, a friends’ get-together or a unique gift experience.

Temperature resistance (Tg): 58°C maximum, after post-cure.
So for finished GlassCast 3 resin items/surfaces:
- Safe-ish guideline: keep objects placed on it well below 58°C.
- Avoid: hot mugs, hot plates, pans, ovenware, candle containers, or anything straight from a kettle/oven/hob.
- Room-temperature or mildly warm items are fine.
- Use coasters, trivets, or heat mats for anything hot.
Important nuance: 58°C is not a “hot object rating”; it is the resin’s glass-transition temperature after post-curing. Near that temperature, epoxy can soften, mark, distort, or become cloudy, especially under weight. GlassCast also says the resin takes several days to reach full hardness, so avoid putting anything warm or heavy on it until it is fully cured.
