Royal Talens van Gogh range of soft pastels have a noticeable high colour transfer pure and brilliant colour. The standards of the pastels have been made with high degree of lightfastness. Pastels can be used in both small and large pieces and on surfaces that have sufficient structure such as paper card stone and wood.
The van Gogh soft pastels come in a range of 80 colours with subtle differences in the tonal values.

Pastels may darken and fixing and still may smudge after fixing. Professionals recommend a light fixing between layers this down to your own techniques what’s right for you.
