Sturdy and robust
The Loxley Stirling easel has a very sturdy and robust frame. I liked it so much that I have used one in my studio for years. Even when I am being very hard on the canvas there is very little movement. I one criticism is that the shelf does not's lock in place and with a heavy canvas will slip down the easel. But I have placed the G cramp just under the shelf which is enough to hold the shelf and the canvas in place. This is ideal for artists who are needing an easel for a studio that is not going to move regularly and work on large canvas. The other advantage is, you don't need to have super high ceilings to raise the canvas unlike those with a ratchet and fixed bar. Over all would recommend.

What I needed great advise thanks
great studio easel. fast delivery. Hold most sizes of canvas. Need a little extra support for heavy canvas as shelf is pressure held not ratchet. I knew this when buying as the helpful staff member explained and gave an easy fix of putting a G clamp under it shelf to hold it in place. Other than that a quality easel sturdy would buy from local art shop again.
