Cling Film Watercolour Technique

Jan 1, 1970

Cling Film Technique

This technique is very simple but can create really interesting effects for backgrounds, landscapes or rocks.

Simply wet your background with clean water, then paint your colours on allowing them to run together.

Then, apply the cling film allowing crinkles to form. Apply a weight over the cling film e.g. a book, and allow to dry.
